1. Who we are

2. Information involved in classes
Depending on the services used and information provided, we may process student and parent names, contact information, course registrations, class membership, communications, assignments, and class participation details. Live sessions may include participants' names, voices, video, chat, or shared work when those features are enabled.
3. Class recordings
When classes are recorded, recordings are created using Zoom. Authorized automation may retrieve cloud recording files and related metadata, including host, meeting title, recording timestamps, and file identifiers, to organize and deliver class recordings. Lesson recordings may be transferred to a Math Rangers-controlled YouTube channel and linked within the relevant Google Classroom. Access to any recording depends on the video's privacy configuration and recipients' ability to access the link; an Unlisted YouTube link can be forwarded by someone who has it.
4. Google API data access and use
Our internal recording workflow may use Google OAuth authorization to access YouTube for uploading and managing lesson recordings. Google Classroom access may be used to identify courses and publish lesson resources to enrolled classes. Google Sheets may be used to maintain class mappings, operational logs, and recording status. Access is limited to the functions enabled for the applicable Google account and authorization.
Data obtained through Google APIs is used to operate Math Rangers' class-resource workflow, not to sell personal information or to serve personalized advertisements. Any use or transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
5. Sharing and service providers
We may use service providers such as Zoom, Google Classroom, YouTube, and Google Cloud to host online sessions, store or transfer recordings, and distribute class materials. Information may be accessible to those providers under their applicable terms. We do not intend to make class recordings publicly discoverable as part of the lesson-sharing workflow.
6. Security and retention
We use account permissions and credential-management controls appropriate to the services involved. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Retention of recordings and other class information depends on operational needs, applicable obligations, and service settings. Contact us to ask about current retention periods or request removal of a specific recording or personal information, subject to applicable requirements.
7. Children and parents
Because classes may involve minors, parents or guardians should review applicable class recording notices and consent arrangements. Students should avoid sharing sensitive personal information during classes or in assignments unless necessary and specifically requested through approved channels.
8. Your choices and requests
For questions about participation in recordings, requests to access or correct information, or requests for deletion where applicable, email [email protected]. Please identify the relevant course and date without including unnecessary student information in your initial request.
